ABOUT US

Here is an example of the creativeness of the collective Romestant consciousness. Built on a whim, it has become a conversation piece and the occasional hideaway from the cacophony that is California life. No fire breathing dragon, however...

DISCLAIMER-MY VIDEO IS EMBEDDED IN PHOTOBUCKET, AND I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SUBSEQUENT VIDEO CONTENT. I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE.

We are the Romestant family.  We live in Southern California.  My wife Carol is an elementary school music teacher, and has been molding young lives for over 25 years.  We have three children. I am a mechanical engineer with a diverse background, ranging from the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical assemblies to plant engineer for a large heavy metals industrial manufacturer. I have worked for Cisco Systems, Apple Inc, and Harman Becker Automotive to name a few.  Currently I work for Harman JBL Professional Loudspeaker Division as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. My strengths are in mechanical and manufacturing engineering and component design. I endeavor to create simple and elegant engineering solutions and I thrive on problem solving and diagnostic discoveries.

Born of eclectic parents, my father being an electrical engineer, my mother an artist I was cursed with both left and right brain excitation. Mechanical anythings has always fascinated me. I have been riding and wrenching on motorcycles since I was a kid growing up in Northeast Ohio. I have two brothers and a sister. While growing up my brothers and I built many motorized contraptions, took things apart and rearranged them to become more than the sum of their parts.  I have always thought the BMW k bike, or 'Flying Brick was superbly engineered, but ugly as sin and ran from it embracing the boxer and the 'purist's disdain for all things 'non opposing', until a fortuitous ownership of a neglected K75 enlightened me and caused me to see past the garish and lumpy exterior and appreciate, even grow to respect the fine engineering and stout design of the brick's heart.  The model deserves raiment more expressive than what the Teuton's have so far presented, so I am determined to bring an aire of class and sophistication to the mighty K while emphasizing on accentuating the drive-train and mechanical features.

Other family interests are home remodeling, playing music together and spending our lucid moments enjoying life.
